PRODUCT SCOPE / RESEARCH METHOD

From disclosure to a research record.

SEC13D treats a filing as evidence inside an evolving situation—not as the final product. The goal is to preserve what happened, explain why it may matter, and keep the next observable catalyst in view.

CURRENT SCOPE

Five implemented event workflows

These families have schemas, labeled sample records, and a common public reading experience. Coverage is selective. See the coverage page for current records and source freshness.

BROADER PRODUCT MAP

The intended taxonomy is wider than five types.

The original product study identified twelve core families. These seven themes can be tagged within existing workflows. Dedicated state models and analytical fields remain future work; a tag alone does not establish coverage.

PUBLICATION CONTROL

How a record becomes publishable

01

Capture

Archive the original disclosure and preserve document versions.

02

Structure

Extract event-specific facts without turning unknown values into zeros or guesses.

03

Analyze

Automatically check source integrity and quoted evidence, classify the disclosure, and publish a labeled research record. Manual review is optional.

04

Publish

Create a versioned public snapshot; later corrections append history instead of silently replacing it.

CONTENT CONTRACT

Four layers that should not blur together

DISCLOSED FACT

What a source states

Terms, dates, parties, holdings, conditions, and direct claims with a source excerpt.

RESEARCH INTERPRETATION

Why it may matter

Context and implications, explicitly labeled as analysis rather than source fact.

OPEN QUESTION

What is not established

Missing conditions, unresolved conflicts, uncertain timing, and facts not restated.

NEXT CATALYST

What can be observed next

A disclosed date, expected window, filing, vote, response, ruling, or other verifiable milestone.

CURRENT BUILD

Inspect the records and their evidence.

The Coverage page states exactly what is present, what is illustrative, and what is not yet connected.
